POND'S PURE WHITE DEEP CLEANSING FACIAL FOAM Activated Carbon + Vit.B3 Review

POND'S PURE WHITE DEEP CLEANSING FACIAL FOAM Activated Carbon + Vit.B3 Review

I have been eyeing this product every day since it hit the shelves. The alternate black packaging and the fact that it wasn't a male grooming product kept calling out to me. It screamed seriousness and I wanted to know what it was like especially with the word activated Carbon etched on it's body.

POND'S PURE WHITE DEEP CLEANSING FACIAL FOAM Activated Carbon + Vit.B3

Pond’s reveals it's little black beauty secret with the new powerful Pond’s Pure White Facial Foam! It has the technology of activated carbon that attracts deep-seated 'Black' dirt caused by impurities, oil, and make-up to reveal a pure white you.
It is first of its kind to be formulated with activated carbon, which works with “black attracts black”. Carbon when heated or “activated” becomes 8x porous; hence, increasing its ability to detoxify and gently exfoliate dead skin cells while retaining the needed moisture.

MY EXPERIENCE AND THOUGHTS

The packaging is sleek and very easy to use while traveling.
You can squeeze just the right amount of product and hence reduces any wastage.
The cream in itself is of a thick, gooey and creamy consistency.
You need very little product, not even a dime size for the entire face.
It lathers very generously and so this will last a very long time.
It's a glossy grey, pearly colour and it has a typical strong fragrance which I have gotten used to. The colour seems to want to portray the presence of carbon in it.
It cleans the face well and gives a temporary glow but this will not do more than that.
It doesn't leave a layer of slime on my face like some face washes do.
It won't remove blackheads as some of you wanted to know.
Over all, it's a decent product.

Hole in my wallet: Rs.75 for 50gm
                                Rs.125 for 100gm

    1. Hi Arush, thank you for your comment. I agree this will not help to remove stubborn black heads. the best way to get them off is to use simple baking soda which you get at any grocery store. Make a paste of it and massage it gently into the area that needs to be cleansed. Leave it on for a while, remove with a warm wash cloth which can scrub away the black heads that come off.
If you are averse to trying a home remedy then you can buy the SHISEIDO Blackhead Remover Mask available at any Shiseido counter in the country. Hope this has helped :)

  7. @luminousha, you are welcome :)
@Dhivya, It will suit oily skin but it's not the perfect face wash. You could try something with tea tree oil in it.

  10. Hi Jyoti, is it so....You must be having a reaction to one of the chemical ingredients in the face wash, you will have to discontinue it. Hope your skin heals soon.

    1. Hi Rajitha. you can try medimix face wash. they are pretty good for oil control. For black spots, you mean the kind that you get after your pimple leaves a mark? For that you will need to apply sandal wood paste which is pure every night.
