ACM Depiwhite Intensive Depigmenting Cream Review

It's a new moon phase and we are all moving forward to the last part of this year. It has been a struggle for some of us and it has been as easy as shedding some skin for the rest.Nevertheless, we are all here intact to read my next review :)
Talking about skin, I had a request to review this particular cream which has been doing the rounds in some dermatologist's offices. Many of you have been prescribed this cream for hyper-pigmentation and you want to know how effective this is.
Let's take a look at it, shall we?
ACM DEPIWHITE INTENSIVE DEPIGMENTING CREAM REVIEW
ACM DEPIWHITE INTENSIVE DEPIGMENTING CREAM REVIEW

Acts in all stages of melanogenesis. This cream has a rapid surface effect due to AHA esters and a new active ingredient: antipollon, for visible results from the first week of application.
In-depth action due to presence of kojic acid and Vitamin C.

BEST FOR

Epidermal Hyper-pigmentation.
Unification of Complexion
Pre and post peeling, nitrogen laser treatment.

INGREDIENTS
Aqua, Vitis vinifera, Glycerin, Butylene glycol, Glyceryl Stearate, Petrolatum, PEG-100 Stearate,Kojic acid, Vitamin C, Antipollon, AHA esters,Cyclopentasiloxane, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Aluminium silicate, Ascorbyl methylsilanol pectinates, Lactic acid, Coco-glucoside, Isohexadecane, Potassium cetyl phosphate, Sodium acrylate/acryloyldimethyl taurate,Polysorbate 80, Disodium EDTA, Sodium sulfite, Sodium meta bisulfite,o-cymen-5-ol
HOW TO USE
Twice a day
In the morning, after a bath.
At night, after washing your face and before retiring to bed.

MY EXPERIENCE AND THOUGHTS
It is an opaque and thick cream
I think the odour is really bad.
It works well and at onset of use it starts to target brown spots and break down it's appearance hence lightening the skin within two weeks time. With continued use it gave positive results but when I stopped using it, some pigmented patches were slightly visible again.
The question is- Can you use it long term because of the active ingredients in this?
The answer is NO.You can use it for a month and discontinue for the next month and then use it at a later point because you have to keep in mind about hypersensitivity issues. For these reasons you should not purchase this yourself, you need to be prescribed this medicine, it is not a beauty product.
There is a face mask which is a peel off masque that has been launched in India which can be used in the months when you discontinue the cream. I have not had a chance to try it as it is not available in my local pharmacy. If I do manage to get it, I will review the same for you all :)
Some people have used this cream with extreme pigmentation from pregnancy and felt it doesn't work as well.

Hole in my wallet: Can't remember, purchased it from the pharmacy. Kindly consult them.

  3. Thanks for this review. Will it help get rid of freckles too?

  4. @Ghazala, If there freckles are hereditary then am afraid not. They can lighten them if they have come due to sun exposure or are recently attained.

  10. @Deepika, I had that problem until I learnt Sudarshana Kriya from Art of Living. Till then whatever technique I tried, I just could not stay still. Now it's so much easier :) A time will come when you will be able to. I have made a special corner in my house just for it, makes me want to sit there and think about things, reflect and just be.It's magical.

    2. and always Always, before applying a new product to your facial skin, do a patch test on the skin of your inner elbow. apply the product there first and see that your skin is alright and then only do you apply it to your face. patch test is always crucial.

  18. i was prescribed depiwhite by my derm. but when i relocated, an australian derm advised me against this ! He said that this was the one causing my acne ! the moment i stopped it, my face got clear..however, it did not even work for my pigmentation too....so i think its better to try for 1-2 weeks and if there is no result and you are breaking out, its better to have a consultation !

  37. Hi I have been prescribed depi white milk body lotion by my derm to be used twice a day (morning and night) to make my complexion more even and smooth and for enlarged pores. I've been using it for two days. I've noticed a small light brown mark on my cheek has appeared from it's use. Also can it be used on face, arms and neck and under eyes? I've heard once we stop using this product the skin goes back to it's damaged condition and we have to start using it again.

    1. I would suggest you don't use it during pregnancy, better to be safe as this is a period when whatever you apply gets absorbed into your system and can cause problems for the child. I would suggest using something that's natural currently.

  41. Hi, my daughter is 16. the cosmetologist has rubbed her face with salicylic acid after cleaning the acnes, and now there's is dark bron spot left around her mouth. then she recommended my daighter to use depiwhite to get rid of this spot. do you think this cream will help her to get rid of this spot and can she use it at her age?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi Naza. if the spot around her mouth is a recent one, i would suggest using purest grade of vitamin E oil. that's the best way to get rid of the spot. Also, take care of her diet so that her acne is controlled. What goes into her system , is what is showing on her skin. Ask her to drink plenty of fresh fluids and water. Kiehl's has a dark spot corrector that works really well. You can check with the brand. it's better to not use depiwhite at such a young age, take care.

    1. hi Ajitha, thank you for your comment. I would advise against using this for the skin around your mouth.
It's most likely due to a hormone problem and you would need to consult an endocrinologist to get a hormone assay done. One the underlying issue is corrected, the dark color will gradually improve. please check your diet.

Also internally drink freshly pressed carrot juice on empty stomach, daily in the morning. It should be extracted through a juice extractor.
