PANTENE PRO-V ALL DAY SMOOTH MIRACLE WATER Review

Pantene Pro-V All Day Smooth Miracle Water Review

My never-ending search for that absolute- freaking great hair product made me purchase this product as soon as they stacked it up on the shelf. You know those staff trolleys they have in the supermarkets, am constantly checking the stuff out in them as well while the staff at the store is preparing the rack to stock something new. They might presume that I have no patience but, whatever, yes, I am known for my impatience. I can't stop now. I have to see what I have to see. I couldn't wait for reviews online from my fellow bloggers, I just saw the word Pantene and Miracle water and grabbed it. It most certainly helped that it was reasonably priced :)
Want to see how this fared? Well, let's move on to what the brand has to say about it first.

HOW TO USE

Apply 1-2 pumps onto palm, and rub the product with fingers and hands.
Spread evenly onto towel dried or dry hair.
Do not rinse out.
When first using, push several times for product to come out.

   Before rubbing
                                           After rubbing
MY EXPERIENCE AND THOUGHTS

Solely due to the fact that it read miracle water, the term 'water', was enough to make me buy it. I didn't want something that would feel greasy on application.
The product smells a little strong on application but not unpleasant, quite light to touch and is a cloudy or hazy white colour.
When you just pump out the product, I love pumps on products, it retains that cloudy appearance.
You just need one pump for short hair and two to three pumps for long hair.
On your palm after rubbing the product, it turns into clear almost-runny texture, not water, like glycerine but lighter. It feels like glycerine but not as thick. Certainly lighter.
I wouldn't use much product just because it says it becomes water. Because it can grease up your scalp if you use more.
It detangles hair well and easily but not as easily as it would like a conditioner.
It does make the hair more manageable but it doesn't control crazy, frizzy hair to the extent that I wanted it to. It is certainly not going to help your hair in humid climates. I can guarantee you that.
I used this to the gym, my hair looked good at first but I workout in an air conditioned environment, not humid at all, despite that I am left with frizzy hair half way through my regime. So there, so much for the humid condition claim.
It's not a miracle product for me by any means, that's for sure.
It's not a bad product but it's not like something that deserves so much hype either.
It does give the hair some shine.
I will most likely not reconsider purchasing it again, will look for something better.
My search is still on

Do you have any recommendations for frizzy hair? Do you use natural treatments for taming them?

  2. Frizzy hair is always an issue. I find the tigi bed head spoil me hairspray very good after styling the hair. It keeps the hair tamed to a really good extent.Check out my review on this. Its one of my fav products

  3. Hi! I am a new follower of your blog via gfc :) Just like you, I'm also always on the look out for new products. My hair is a bit on the dry side and its always a disaster to style it. I normally have to use oil moisturising lotions to make my locks look healthy. Thanks for the review. I also heard about this product and you just saved me from buying this and be disappointed again xx

    1. Thank you for the kind comments and welcome to my blog, Samantha. When I tend to have dry hair, I use a honey hair mask, it really helps a whole lot but it's time consuming. If you have the time, go for it, it does wonders for the hair.

    1. Yes, I haven't seen this reviewed yet online. Thought why not put it up and save all your money.Absolutely not impressed, money down the drain. And if it's raining, I advise against using it as it's monsoon here now and this thing if it gets on my scalp makes me want to itch and shower immediately.

  9. I follow oil-shampoo-conditioner routine for my frizzy and volume hair...everytime I buy an anti frizz product , I have this image of smooth and luscious locks in my mind and by that standards it's quite difficult to match. The dryness for me is only at the ends though at the roots its quite silky and manageable...

    1. Hi, Opal, I have the same routine too and like you my problems are more concentrated to the ends of my hair. But at times I have frizz at my crown especially where I have flyaways. So that's some work to groom.
