MAC Pink Treat Cremestick Liner is one of my first and favourite MAC purchases. I have been meaning to write about it since a while but not been getting down to it.
With the numerous sales all over Mangalore, I have changed my routine to shopping, shopping and more shopping. I am keeping a strict vigil over my wallet and buying only 'essentials'. Yup, let's just call it that for now.

MAC Pink Treat Cremestick Lip Liner

If you are new to Cremestick Liners, I have to say they are creamier and more hydrating than regular lip liner pencils from MAC. If you have dry and chapped lips, then definitely get these. The shade Pink Treat in itself is a very beautiful medium pink. The pigmentation is great. There is no feathering or bleeding out of your lip line once adhered. The mechanical twist-up pencil is a boon over the kinds that you need to sharpen. Application remains neat.
This is really light on application and so creamy. It wears for around 6 hours when paired with a lipstick and maybe slightly less with a gloss. It can be worn on it's own too due to great pigmentation, it will last 6 hours.

The color is really beautiful and dark. It reminds me of a deeper Barbie pink. So you can imagine it now. It is a little more expensive than the regular pencil liners with a little less product but for those who are at an age(50+) where your lipstick bleeds out of your lip line to make a mess, always!!, then this is great as it does not move after application. You can use it instead of your bleeding lipstick! The other plus being you do not need to carry a sharpener around with you. So if you choose convenience over cost pick the cremestick.

It goes on well with most lipsticks but it's closer in shade to MAC Syrup so that's one great lipstick to pair this with. It goes well with a variety of shades. So it's versatile that way.

The finish is matte.
Do not twist up the pencil too much like above because you can break it while applying.
So just twist up a little bit and use.

Cost is around the price range of Rs.1100 or so. I do not have the exact figure.

It gets used up fairly quickly. That's a bummer.

Olay is definitely something that I have been using for a while. It is a well known brand.
Whenever I go abroad my aunts ask me to get them bottles of Olay Beauty Fluid. So it's always stocked up in my suitcases on return.
Here's a product that claims 7 anti-ageing miracles in one product.

I have to say I really like the packaging of this product. Even though it's plastic, it looks sophisticated and is a very light-weight product. It will fit easily into your handbag and will be inconspicuous till your next use.
It is also one of the first products that I have used which has a compartment that is empty at the base.
Another advantage is that it has a pump. Some really expensive foundation creams from big brands don't even provide something as simple as a pump. So 10/10 for the hygiene aspect and a pump that works efficiently to dispense just the right amount of product.

Olay claims that this is Total Effects most concentrated moisturising formula, with SPF 15.
It combines the total effects moisturizer with an intense serum to fight 7 signs of ageing to result in visibly younger looking skin.

The product claims to
1. Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
2. Balance and even out skin tone.
3. Reduce the appearance of age spots.
4. Smooth and even out the skin texture
5. Provide nourishing moisturisation.
6. Gives skin radiance
7. Minimize the appearance of pores.

The ingredients are in the picture below. Yes, it is a potent concoction.

The cream is a little thick in texture.

It has a mild fragrance which somewhat steers towards a sophisticated floral.

It blends in well into the skin and instantly moisturizes it so it's a great boon for someone who has parched and dry skin.

For combination skin like mine, it holds well for about thirty minutes before it starts getting uncomfortably greasy. That is, if you do not use much makeup. I wear it under my base makeup and I have noticed that I usually need to powder my face often because it does look shiny and feels it too.

And it's raining now a days, so I can't imagine what it would feel like in summer. But that is for someone with oily or combination skin.

It stays well through the day and has an spf of 15 which is good.

I believe it has aided a little bit in fading away a recent acne scar.

I have to use it a little more to figure out if it gets rid of dark spots on the face.

It gives the skin a nice glow as is stated.

Really moisturising.

I am not too sure about how well it work on pores, though. I will update the review after completely finishing this product and let you know if there are any changes on that aspect.

Over all, it is a great every day moisturizer and suits my skin well. I wish though there was a variant for oily/combination skin.

Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti-Ageing Cream + Serum Duo

Here's a picture to show you the base of the packaging which keeps lifting up with each pump, gradually, to show much product has been used up. It's fun seeing it go up hehe but maybe not as fun when you realize the product is on the verge of getting over ;)

I usually use it after a shower because then my skin is really craving for something and it gets soaked up better. I have been asked to try it over my under eye area by a friend who claims this has helped him with his dark circles. Yeah, it's a 'him' and you know what, guys, you shouldn't shy away from commenting on beauty blogs because I know that most of my readers are male. They like taking care of their skin and why shouldn't they? Do comment, do ask questions and do give your input. Don't be shy. :)
I am tempted to try it out but I haven't ventured into doing so yet.

20g of product costs Rs.369 but a little goes a really long way. I have been using it for some weeks now and I have just managed to use a dint of it as you can see. I really need to use it sparingly because it's so rich.

I will give this product a 3/5 because it's not for my skin type and also for no remarkable changes over the period that I have used it for but it is a power packed moisturizer.

How many of us have gone through life looking out for a partner that meets a certain set of requirements?

Most of us already know who we are going to date or marry, even before we meet them.

Is that not true? At least majority of the girls or boys I know, already know what they want in a life partner.

Nothing wrong with that. Everyone has their choices. But the problem is that most of us are tangent to thinking visually about how that person should be. Tall, dark, handsome, beautiful, white, skinny, lanky and all such terms come to mind when you think of what you want in a partner.

Magazines, movies, T.V., adverts- we all choose from what we see. What is projected to us are specific models who look exceptionally pleasing visually. But not all of us look like that ourselves.

I must admit I have also fallen prey, sadly, to this pre-conditioned thinking and have missed out maybe on the best relationships I could have had in life. Yes, I do deeply and sincerely regret not having given a chance to some of the most exquisite men/women who I have come across in my life. It's really not about the looks, it's about how you feel. How do they really make you feel? Or has one decided to throw feeling back in the trash can, because by the looks of it that's what most of us do. We bottle everything up or throw it in some inner recess of our brain so that we are numb to most experiences. We only want scorching visuals.

Repeatedly been asked out for a cup of coffee or a ride home, I used to refuse blatantly and not even give a chance to some of nicest of the lot. It's just sad when I look back upon it. Maybe I was scared. Maybe he did not meet my expectations in the looks department. Come on, How mean could I have been?

I cringe when I think about how foolish I had been. Why I had chosen to go by looks. Looks is important but it is not the most important criteria when it comes to anything eventually.

Do not go by the appearance of someone. Judging for the appearance is absolutely wrong. It's just really stupid. I know so many wonderful men and women who do not meet the 'norms' of what a person must 'look' like to be termed charming or good to be with.

Just don't miss out on that person. You will be losing a special experience. How I......Oh, I can't describe it. Just watch this video in the link, you might get the essence of what I am trying to say. Especially what he feels towards the end, is what I feel these days.

What I am trying to say is, Don't do it by the book. You will be losing out on some very special experiences.

There are no rules to this game. Just give everyone a chance. See how it makes you feel. Start feeling something.

They say after the storm comes the sun and the sun is sure shining here.
I hope you are all having a great start to this week. Keep smiling always.
I am out to review one of my absolute favourite products from India.
I like natural products and I am sure by now you all know that.
If you do so too, DO NOT miss this review.

I don't hesitate to try new things but I prefer going back to, and prefer using more earthy and natural remedies for my day to day use.

I was searching through a supermarket shelf couple of years back when I stumbled across this wonderful gel.
I had stocked just two of them with me after discovering what a wonderful product it is but unfortunately my stock is over now and that supermarket has been shut ever since.
And so this product has disappeared for me. It is not stocked anywhere else in Mangalore.
Oh, how I wish I could get my hands on it again. It's not available online either. I have tried.
PLEASE DO NOT MISTAKE THIS FOR THE Ultra Glow Fairness Cream. I almost got that by mistake once. They come in similar packaging and there is almost no difference except for the words gel and cream.
I have, however, not tried out the cream as it says it's for dry skin. I have combination skin so I prefer the gel. I am sure the cream will have a totally different texture.
I have got a lot of emails mostly from guys asking about the fairness products in the market. I know that most people do not like talking about it but let's face it, some of us want a glowing complexion and we will go to any extent for it.
So guys, if you are reading this, then you will want this gel compared to other chemical laden stuff that is lying out there in the market. This works slowly but surely.
I haven't tried too many Blossom Kochhar products but I have to say the ones I have tried are really good. This one is the best of what I have tried so far. I can't stop raving about it, as you can see.
I am not just raving about the fairness bit as you will discover as you read through the review.
The brand says this is to be used for sun protection and it also prevents skin darkening.
Two things that I always need to be careful with as I am an outdoors freak.
I get tanned very easily.
It work on your skin safely making it bright and radiant.
Contains no bleach or harmful chemicals

Ingredients- Extracts of Aloe Vera, tamarind, horse radish, vitamin B3, C, A and E, sunscreen and fairness agents and pure essential oils of lavender, orange blossom, wintergreen, geranium basil and rose.

Trust me on the smell, it takes you to a very soothing and calm place. It's a wonderful smelling product. It's not a strong smell but very pleasant. I love love love the smell!!

The texture is in between a cream and gel but when applied on the face, it totally sinks in.

I love applying this on my face after a shower. This is my last tube and I am skimping on using it as I know I won't find it unless it comes on flipkart or magically appears in some store but I know it's not going to happen any time soon, AM SO SAAAAAD :(

For the fairness bit, I am going to be honest, It does a good job of evening out complexion but I have used just two tubes and in that there was no drastic change on skin spots, acne scars or even making you Snow White but in just two tubes, it has prevented further tanning and evened out my skin tone which is saying much for a natural product. I will buy this life long for how incredible it feels, smells and tones the skin.

What else, what else.....hmm price point- Rs.29 for that tube. That's the old price tag. The price alone was a factor in making me want to pick it up and try it out and am so glad I did. It was well worth the product.
Will update if I learn how much it costs now.
Easy and hygienic packaging, the roses on the tube, great for travel, it's got only a lot of pros.

Cons being difficult to get- Poor availability.
